I was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana. After graduating from Homestead High School, I attended Indiana University in Bloomington. I have a B.S. in Informatics from the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering. I also received minors in 'Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship' and 'Marketing' from the Kelley School of Business. I currently live and work in Chicago, IL.

Hobbies

I believe that work-life balance is very important. I've always had a drive to work hard and apply myself to my work, but it's important to do things outside of just work. Doing the things you love relieves stress and shows off your personality. What do I love doing?

Business Systems Analyst
  • Led end-to-end implementation of policy administration systems for 4 diverse clients, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment with client needs.
  • Configured and customized the Origami Risk platform to meet specific client requirements, enhancing user experience and operational efficiency, while meticulously documenting tasks and configurations to ensure clarity and support for future updates.
  • Applied Agile methodology to manage and complete hundreds of tasks, consistently achieving sprint goals and delivering high-quality features with precision and timeliness.
  • Designed and developed the Application Interview Form for Canopius implementation, collaborating with WikiFri to gather requirements and refine the system, resulting in enhanced performance and increased client satisfaction for Cargo and M&P lines of business.
  • Engineered a robust data export tool for Canopius' external rating program using SQL, optimizing data transfer processes and ensuring 100% accuracy, which eliminated manual errors entirely.
  • Configured and optimized mail merge policy forms for Lancashire's Property and Energy Casualty lines of business, including state declaration pages for all 50 states, policy binders, and quote forms. This streamlined document generation, improved accuracy, and enhanced compliance and client communication.
  • Developed over 30 custom reports and dashboards by writing complex SQL queries across multiple database tables using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), delivering actionable insights and enabling data-driven decision-making for stakeholders.

To see the entire project plan, please download the PDF here. Through my senior year, I have worked on a team of 4 to bring this plan to life. The Fall semester of my Senior year was spent creating this 107 page plan. During the Spring semester, I have worked with my team using GitHub to bring this plan to life. The website can be seen in the demo video featured above. Users must have an IU login to register and use the site. I was responsible for polls (php, sql/Mysql, html, and css) as well as IU live which is a part of communities (html, css, php, sql/MySQL, automatically updated using a python script that scrapes various sites for information and inserts the data into the database).

User Study

Report

This project helped me understnad how user studies are conducted and how they are useful in projects. This also taught me how to document user studies correctly. Using wireframes was also very helpful in mocking up an idea to test quickly. Download the pdf of the full report here
